Baselend’s technical framework ensures efficiency, security, and scalability:

  1. Blockchain Foundation

    • Leverage Layer 2 solution (Base) to cut transaction fees and boost speed, with planned expansions to additional chains.

  2. Smart Contracts

    • Written in Solidity (v0.8.x) and use OpenZeppelin libraries for greater security.

    • Principal contracts include:

      • LendingPool.sol: Oversees deposits and withdrawals.

      • LoanManager.sol: Handles borrowing, repayment, and management of outstanding loans.

      • LiquidationEngine.sol: Monitors collateral health, initiating liquidation if values drop below thresholds.

      • SentientPool.sol : Supports liquidation of undercollateralized loans, maintaining pool stability & adjusts interest rates and loan-to-value (LTV) ratios dynamically using AI input from an oracle.

  3. Oracle Integration

    • Relies on Chainlink oracle services to feed real-time asset pricing

    • Accurate pricing data is crucial for correct loan-to-value ratios and timely liquidation triggers.
